1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Varlan, Man, and Anderson Family Scholarship was endowed in 2021 via a gift from the Angelos Charitable Trust. This needs-based scholarship is awarded to one student of some Hellenic ancestry residing, or attending college in the Southeast who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, community service, and involvement in the Greek Orthodox church. Full time traditional undergraduate students who currently attend an accredited university/college in the U.S. and are pursuing a four-year bachelor degree may apply. Students who have graduated from a non-U.S. high school are eligible to apply when they have completed 24 credit hours at an accredited university/college in the States. Students from West Point, the Naval Academy, and other U.S. military academies are eligible to apply. Two academic letters of recommendation are required for all applicants.
