1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The ELCA Service Abroad Scholarship provides assistance to women preparing for ELCA service abroad, either in general or in health professions. Applicants must have experienced an interruption in their education of two or more years since completion of high school or college. The recipient is eligible to reapply and receive assistance for a maximum of two years. Applicants must submit a Pastor's Reference Form. If the pastor is a relative of the applicant, they must instead request a reference from the chairperson or vice-chairperson of the congregation. An Academic Reference Form is also required. A letter of recommendation from a faculty member who has taught the applicant within the last three years must be submitted; disregard if the applicant has been out of school more than three years. Applicants must also submit a Personal Reference Form. A letter from someone who has knowledge of the applicant's potential must be submitted.
