Wagner College, founded in 1883, is a non-sectarian liberal arts college. Its educational program combines off-campus experiences (experiential learning) with on-campus Learning Communities, which are clusters of courses linked by a single theme and a common group of students. Beginning with the first semester, students are involved in real-world problems and field work directly related to their coursework. This program continues through the senior capstone experience in the major. Wagner''s 110-acre hilltop campus is located on Staten Island, overlooking lower Manhattan.
