Texas Tech University, founded in 1923, is a public, comprehensive university. It is the largest university in the western two-thirds of Texas. The single-campus arrangement of the university, with a law school and health sciences center, is unique in the state, allowing easy transition to law and advanced degrees as well as professional degrees in health care fields.
